(r)Evolution - The Musical - Continues

If the #FertileEnvironment has taught us anything in a hostile environment, it’s that anything is possible (romantic ideals, art, song and dance will be involved). A new world is starting. (G’wan there, Chile, c’mon there Normal Island?)

Some of the soundtrack is alternative rock at grass roots. Many of the moments are to be found in live music, where evolved civilisation is the majority. DIY, art punky rock inspirations sprinkled on our musical genre fluid “new whimsical express”.

3 degrees of celebration.

December 2021:

A tweeted reminder about This Feeling Stage at IoWFest 2017 sparked this ramble.

In Spring 2019 TheZineUK doc at the offices of John Giddings head of Isle Of Wight Festival with Heather Minx.

Circle of music life: #IoWFest21 we returned to The Real Love Island, as per the latest picture diary.

Music Is Nature with Supernature creating a cosmic path of those who believe: Musicians and all their allies, audiences, arts collaborations and advocates. Nicknamed ‘Rocking Pebble’ (because we’re hardly Rolling Stone!), we’re small but still here!

Q: After seven years (including two of horrific pandemic purgaTORY) WHY does TheZineUK still reporting that under radar is a movement?

A: Because it’s genuinely seeded a newer wave of music industrious and multi media (and because it moves us!)

December 2017: DJ, Katie Owen, putting the PARTY in Music People Party (Hawley Arms, Camden, ta for connecting us with the venue, Heather Minx)

Magick situationism got us to the end of 2021.

We didn’t stop documenting when the old world ended.

If anything, it’s made this tapestry of true tales even more tantalising.

The backdrop of insanity makes us all a little bit more crazy - but without joining the forces of evil. That’s getting boring, now.

Generation Tremorists:

So many children of all ages have stayed kind and human that there is definite hope, song and dance - despite everything.

We fight for a home world to live on, clean air/water, health, education, law, sufficient sustenance, shelter, peace, justice and music, music venues, musicians, DJs, media, labels, promoters, documentors, music festivals, music education, music everything is power. It’s our true faith and nationality in many cases.

The above mentioned reminder tweet led to a dead link. Behind the scenes we’ve had to deconstruct sabotage and egobollox - then reconstruct, headed by working class women who tories would not admire. Luckily This Feeling’s twitter had taken a screen shot from the article

From “Isle Of Wight, the REAL Love Island” (2017)

Blackwaters, Isle Of Wight Festival 2017, This Feeling Stage.

Every name mentioned here today is part of a bigger picture who are shaping music heritage in itself, a positive fraction of a possible, better world.

Between us we have a tale and a half of the last four years - moments humanity couldn’t have imagined when these seminal shots were taken.

I can only wish the very best for Earthlings, next. On a more personal level, I am humbled to be part of this fresh and genuine music industry.

I ain’t nobody’s “diversity hire”, no need for tokenism when a movement is inclusive of every day folks. You’ve seen dystopian movies. Well we’re there now. The bottom of the imagined food chain, the grass roots is naturally going to contain the spectrum of humanity. This is fuel to harness with the possibilities of the digital age, the politics of climate emergency thinking and jeez, what a great soundtrack.

Smiley and Lorna (who took the Manic Street Preachers shot that graces our September 2021 picure book). So many MSP connections x zeenagers.

Fresh from the DecoloniseFest meeting recently (PoC punx power) my batteries are reboosted.

It. Is. So. Good. good to see and feel their seeds blooming.

Watch their space for September 2022! https://facebook.com/decolonisefest

Same with CroCroLand - TheZineUK absolutely humbled to be part of that.

See Spring 2022 for As The Cro Cro Flies in Manchester. https://crocroland.co.uk/

Both of these new (in 2017 and 2019) home grown and welcoming events are “how-to-music-fest-21stCentury” blueprints, majority headed up by feminist energy. TheZineUK is pleasured by their nurturing arrival into music’s uniqulture.

New ways keep influencing by stealth. Celebrate.

So… When the “news” gets us down, don’t forget it’s usually just the Olds Propaganda, the only recycling establishment is interested in.

Come on Music People. We’ve GOT this.

Yes, we would love to have money to shout about artists who belong on bigger stages, but it shouldn’t be overlooked that the way a growing community of us already work together is performing exponentially better than could be expected.

Cosmic.

Between us, our scouting of what we love often bears fruit that could feed a 21st Century Top Of The Pops/Pop Of The Tops. Like BBC TV’s Later (where some of the artists land), just way earlier. Have a proper gander at the names on this page, they’re all gateways.

December 2017 The #MusicPeopleParty begins

Some of TheZineUK’s 2021 cast and crew, captured as a seedlings slideshow of 2014 to 2017. Every picture tells a thousand words.

Video cover #Zeenagers - Promoter, Taylor Hetherston with our musician/astrologer Monefa Walker and our photographer/visual artist, Sandy K Moz. Being an interdependent event, This Feeling, November 2017, in the background TF head Mikey Jonns is talking with Dan Able and Toby Mitchell of The Velvet Hands. We were already friends, we have woven new synchronicity, since.

Our story catches up with the friends woven in, whenever possible. Thank you, all, for the amateur snaps access.

Emily Capell - Isle Of Wight Festival 2017, This Feeling Stage.

All of them will flavour 2022, additionally.

Talent from the #SaveOurVenues circuit, who have come through 2020 and 2021, are the biggest story in the smallest venues.

Season 2 (Jan.2018 to #ReviveLive May 2021) took over the reins of building a website from scratch (nice one, Dizzy Spell, editor, my friend, and creative genius)

As TheZineUK’s Live Events Department I staged one show in 2020 and one in 2021! I groan at the memory of getting a sponsor for Spring 2020… I won’t give in though, I enjoy making moments - immensely.

TheZineUK being part of Kick Out The Jams music socials since Autumn 2018 is a big buzz, too. Sponsored by Rotor Videos, they promote an incredible alumni (and in the pandemic, whenever live music is possible).

May the world really did end in December 2012 as predicted, and we’re in the bad place. But if so, double down and dance in these Orwellian times.

I’m no journalist, but SOMEBODY has to record the achievements of the skint/unprivileged stars who have to twinkle brighter in this galaxy. This article would be ten times as long if I did that today, but trust me, they don’t do dull! Follow the above to see what happens next and how the interdependent WORK.

Himalayas - Isle Of Wight Festival 2017, This Feeling Stage.

As the year winds it’s neck in, we’re buzzing from Isle Of Wight Festival 2021 which took place in September due to the new world starting.

Louise Schofield’s interviews from This Feeling stage for TheZineUK are up now on YouTube.

There are snaps in the latest picture diary. It also mentions that Himalayas - most recently caught live at Modern Age’s Soma Festival - went on to support Manic Street Preachers).

In fact every name mentioned above is helping to create the newer wave of music industrious with their achievements. Collaboration, friendly rivalry, recommendation and some frankly funny moves on the dance floor. If we’re this entertaining and effective in a pandemic, I’d listen in closely/hire the lot in some capacity.

From Normal Island back to The Real Love Island - how’s that for a circle of music life?
