2021's Music People Party

The #MusicPeopleParty started as a rowdy fun social in December 2017. A slideshow leading up to that, stars many of TheZineUK’s (essential!) 2021 cast & crew. That’s a movement.

TheZineUK’s first DJ host, Katie Owen, December 2017 which was a femme fronted affair with Dizzy Spell, Heather Minx, Rachel Brown (Northern Exposure), Emma Rule (Musicians Against Homelessness) in the co-promoting mix with our Events Department and SO many allies in the house! The Velvet Hands started us up!

In that vein, our interdependent collaboration community could create something celebratory for December 2021, inspired by the story so far. Watch our space.

We started 2020 with a kindly advertising offer from one ally and sponsorship from another.

Yay, investment for hiring and fees is exactly what our infrastructure needed. Nay, of course it fell through in the pandemic, but it is good to know that we what we do with who we document has a value. So why not create the Music People Party in some form later this year?

TheZineUK story so far is synchronicity itself. Visualised.

Our cast and crew experienced the spectrum of real life, warts and all since our March 2014 upload. Like the band line ups, TheZineUK consistently adapts. Thrilled to be part of 2020’s Balcony Festival OnLine, we are yet to stage a new event of our own.

There’s a story behind every picture that is weaving with time. 2021 is about trying to rebuild in impossible times, but we’ve already seen what we can do, starting with situationist performance art as a theatric foundation of good vibration.

Q: It’s been a bumpy ride. See the recent Mourning Birds article for further details. What happens next?

A : TheZineUK will keep creating, keep supporting the talent and reporting on just a fraction of the action.

The interdependent, arts discpline fusion of artists, crew industry, media and and their allies are their own community.

I had an engaged conversation with a friend recently about how the recognised faces in small venues used to be the local music press journalists etc. Now it’s artists and other regulars from fusion of rock’n’roll scenes in our case with every musical genre having it’s own stake in the grassroots music venue circuit.

Very much courtesy of the photographers who have documented for posterity and all those who enable access for us to capture some essential MOMENTS. Quite a few faces from our pages are among the increasingly recognised.

After the Brexit “referendum” of Summer 2016, Hate Crime multiplied. Within a year it felt like there was a love rebellion: ‘SEXit The Musical!’ inspiring The #MusicPeopleParty at the end of 2017.

From 2018 onwards, it’s felt a bit like TheZineUK Season 2. We are adapting still.

If you need creative or performing talent for your next project, then TheZineUK documentary’s pages are peopled by consumate professionals at all levels. They bring a variety of reasonably priced, high quality skills and the enthusiastic pride in their work that ensure high quality service. It’s earned us an appreciated wealth of great feedback so far, a true recommendation. Hire or consult them at reasonably priced rates.

Great music is still being made, venues being saved and ethics with artists at the top of the supposed “food chain” are the way forward. We have Music Venues Trust, Featured Artists Coalition in our story, Bandcamp, Help Musicians and Resonate Co-Op in the artist stories. They, and so many more, are all The News from grass roots level up.

In all the enforced division of this tragic and scary era, the fact that so many people in this (2014 to 2017) slideshow know each other, or at least are aware of each other, is like a best kept secret music movement - something that we can aspire to grow for the future.

The Fertile Environment is seeded and will bloom against the odds.

Can’t wait to have fun together again one day. Socially hugged would be even better!

We don’t know what the future holds but our #FuturePicks keep sparkling so stay tuned. Usual situationist creating, tweet your #MusicPeopleParty future performer suggestions.

Things really stepped up for many of the artists and promoters, noticeably, between 2017 and early 2020 - we might be onto something! Got a lotta love for the time and access that really helps.

From the end of 2019 things fell down but our amazing cast were on a roll, even through the ups and downs of 2020. Sometimes we can’t cope, but what we’ve achieved from nothing can give us hope.

Zeenagers? Generation Tremorists, poetic souled children of all ages. TheZineUK was born at ArtBeat - where the original marketing consultant was a twelve year old). Between the likes of Nandi Bushell, Arlo the Pint-Sized Punk and a swathe of teens n twenties shaping the future are original legends like Bruno Wizard (punk wordsmith) and the many elders of the industry who share their anecdotes with the likes of Chat The Great podcast.

The concept, design, marketing and energy pulsing from Pint-Sized Punk is sensational.

With no huge financial advances from record labels, now it’s also strong to see that artists of any age are raising profile courtesy of their songs. Things take longer now. Stars have stages, not ages. It’s the 21st century.

Youth is key to pulsing energy but the old fashioned mainstream idea that pop stars must only be kids is no longer set in stone, rolling or otherwise. Children of all ages know that not all musicians lose their soul with age. Look at our Bruno…

Special recognition for all who give new names the much needed oxygene of exposure. especially right now. At all levels. We are about autonomy and hustle in the struggling world that our stars gift escapism to.

Every mention for their talent, from independent sites to national profile raising, helps. There is still so much to be fixed until talent is #LivingTheStream for real, financially. It can be such a hard, heart breaking slog these days.

But… The Music People Party vibrations go beyond politics to a genuine movement of hearts, souls and minds towards better days. Hey New Music World - you GOT this.

Can’t believe the ambitious quality TheZineUK gets to hear and even get involved with, sometimes. Any recognition for these genuine stars is a bonus as they ARE The Music People Party!
