New Single x Test Transmission = Spangled!

Spangled

New single double bubble

‘Little Tom’ is the mod rocked chant riot from Manchester’s lava lampers. It’s a punk-spanked house party of lyrical energy. There’s dynamic drama without missing a hard hitting beat. Vocals roar, guitars wail and rhythms won’t let you stay still. At one point, I’m nearly hands in the air clapped along (at home!)

‘Smile Forever’ is a gentler spaceship glide across the cosmos that unfolds into an expansive beseech of poignancy as riffs chime to drive the vocal range delivery of a song that you can tell, by hearing it, means a lot to more than one music fan.

Oh, that artwork…

Watching stories unfold…

Really enjoyed The Garage set in Spring. A TikTok clip of rock! The crowd singing “Let’s get fucking Spangled” speaks volumes about what’s going on. They’ve had a festive Summer (including By The Sea weekender) and have more shows lined up.

Winter steps up again.

Like Spangled playing their biggest home town gig to date at Gorilla on November 4th? Yeah, just like that.

Before then, and with fabulous feedback already and radio raves from top gurus like Jim Salveson at XS Manchester and John Kennedy at Radio X it’s timely that Spangled are part of the next Test Transmission event in Fitzrovia’s intimate and iconic ace place, The Social.

Every TF Test Transmission is a-buzz!

All the names on the 26th September line up are some impressive bill! Again. One of our fave wizards, Gavin Monaghan, tipped Harri Larkin who is also playing that night.

Feel personal with star turns in the presence of key music industry who are on the wavelength of the new rock n roll. This is No.3. Any event that launches in a public transport strike (March 1st 2022, I walked quite a few miles across London - just making it in time).

That’s the thing about documenting the life and times of grassroots music tourism in real time. At the time, we were wondering how/if the newly announced war that had broken out in Ukraine would escalate. Surreal, but there we were. At a gig. It’s in our veins, innit, help!

It elated us though. We needed that. A few seconds of this doc papping Test Transmission host and DJ, John Kennedy, and friends, after the live sets, before the safari home…

London. It’s ON. Get IN. https://thisfeeling.co.uk/testtransmission/
