Friday 15 July Part 2 - MOMENT!

Something in the Lake concluded a residency of Amersham Arms shows with a gig of the year.

Art: Robbert Ruigrok

The artist set up a gallery in the venue of beautiful paintings that included the artwork for the band’s single releases. Images of universe and uniqulture looking out of the frames. There was also a chance to collect band logo stickers and a free ‘Numina’ poster. They made something physically beautiful of a mentally euphoric gathering https://www.instagram.com/robbertruigrokstudio/

Beat: Something In The Lake

‘Numina’ is an astonishingly crafted and performed virtually album length debut EP. Timely that it soundtracks the new @NASA images on twitter, perfectly - That universal thing, again.

Leave 2022 behind for a while. In under half an hour, the instrumentation and vocals of Numina - ‘Out Of Your Depth’, ‘Spring’, ‘Closer’, ‘Blood Orange’ - will take your head and heart on a healing journey.

These pieces were all recorded live in Harri Chamber’s Woolwich studio, a few miles from New Cross where ‘Numina’ happened live on stage - sometimes in hushed awe, sometimes accompanied by joyful outbursts of excitement during a song.

Behind The Scenes

While the show was being set up: Unlisted video (excerpt of ‘Spring’, in soundcheck. Something in the Lake radiating breathtaking music on a sunny afternoon).

The mesmerising musical movements were played on Radio X by early supporter, John Kennedy the following evening, as was gglum.

Before The Scenes

Start to End performances of impressing quality by an expanding community of creative talents and ideas. The atmosphere felt like an evening of blissed out celebration.

Something has been put into excited (e)motion by the stage prescence of gglum, Jung minds, Thorby and Something in the Lake. There was a DJ after the live shows and more party vibes, indoors and out on the roof top bar, until the early hours.

TheZineUK keeps going back to this hub (thanks Andy Palmer and all the team). SOMETHING always BEGINS. Next. Watch this (s)pace: https://www.instagram.com/somethinginthelake/
